Because who supports you matters

Meet Your Doula

Hi 👋 I'm Lacey, I am a Christian, a mom of two living children & twins, Charlie & Louis who are in the arms of Jesus, a wife & a birth advocate! I am passionate about informed consent, birth education & the power of allowing God in the birthing space. One of my favorite parts of being a birth doula is seeing the love & dedication of mom & dad working together through the waves of labor & getting to empower them to do so.

As a Doula

As a doula, I am passionate about helping my clients find their voice and empowering them throughout their birthing journey. I love teaching my clients how to ask the right questions to achieve the birth they desire, and I utilize my empathic nature and high discernment to understand and support their emotions. My nurturing approach paired with a strong hand when needed ensures that each mother feels respected and cared for. I make it an important part of my practice to care for and support dad as well. A supported man leads to a strong family unit. Together, we can create a beautiful and empowering birth experience.

There is a love and pain I feel for each of my clients. I weep with them, I hold them, I help them release things long held onto. I ask them what THEY want when a room feels demanding, scary & dooming. I slow it down & rein it in and allow mother to think of herself. I look her in the eyes and give her the strength to recognize that she was made in the image of God, worth more than rubies & worthy of a moment to consider what she wants. I am beyond blessed to be the one tasked with giving women the power, peace & strength God intended for them to have. I prioritize making sure that women leave the birth space feeling strong and empowered, not meek and violated. Leaving them with an experience they can look back on with love & bittersweetness not trauma. I take on the pain, trauma & grief as I do the joy, empowerment & love. Each birth stays with me & each weeping face of mother & father holding their precious baby will forever be a part of me. I don’t do this to hold babies, I do this to hold mothers.

My Reason

Birth is my ministry. In 2020, the year before I became pregnant with my own daughter, I became very interested in birth, pregnancy and postpartum. I began diving into all of it. When it came time to have my own daughter I felt so prepared - I knew birth like the back of my hand. I knew about all of the different options. I felt so ready. Unfortunately, when it came down to it despite my vast knowledge of birth and my confidence going into it I ended up giving into pressure and feeling like birth simply happened to me. Between my first and my second, I really took time to mentally, physically and spiritually prepare for birth. Through finding a strong birth team, working with my partner on how he can best support me during birth and through my preparations I was able to have an amazing redemptive birth that was very empowering. I learned to give my birth over to God and to trust in my innate ability to birth. Not only did I see personally the difference that can be made by feeling like you have control over your own birth, but during my pregnancy I also found some of the disparities that lead to an unsatisfying or even traumatizing birth experience.

During my pregnancy with my second, I had decided to host a free pregnancy resource event at my church. While researching for this event, I realized that there is a huge lack of resources out there, but especially for the women who statistically need it most. I didn't like the statistics and I wanted to be a part of the solution. Over months it no longer became just something that I wanted to do but that God was CALLING me to do. From that calling came my ministry. I was trained by a DONA certified trainer and began taking on birth clients as well as helping to teach a birth class at my local pregnancy center.  In early 2026 my husband and I lost a twin pregnancy & I felt called to further my ministry & trained through StillBirthday to become a bereavement doula. I am currently awaiting certification from them but have completed everything necessary.

I was given a call to minister to pregnant women, to be a light and to give women the resources and the support that they need to have a beautiful and empowering birth that shows them the love & the mercy of God.
